Description
Nelly with a group at the Vallee de France Club picnic, 1927. A young Nelly is posed in the middle of a group of four other persons. Nelly wears a white dress, stockings, and black shoes. She looks directly at the camera and smiles. There are two older ladies standing near Nelly and a young man behind her. Nelly's uncle is standing to the far right. An inscription written in ink is on the front, bottom section "Sunday June 1927/Mrs. Prescott/Nellie/F.C.P." On the reverse is another inscription written in ink, identifying further the persons in the image as "Mrs. F.C Prescott/Arthur Barrett/Nellie Didier her friend/F.C.P./Vallee de France Club picnic. The group appear to be standing in a heavily wooded area with trees and other shrubbery around and dirt path. To the far left are two women with their back turn. With moderate warping to the edges, ink inscriptions, markings in pencil on the lower left corner on reverse, darkening of the image and some creases the photograph is in good to fair condition overall.
