Newsletter, "The Parish Churchman" Vol. 7, No. 8, August, 1891, issued in the interest of St. Paul's Church, Los Angeles, California. The monthly newsletter was created for parishoners and clergry of St. Paul's Church in Los Angeles. The subscription cost was .50 cents per year. The item contains parish notices; names of St Paul's Hospital, Guild, Choir members; special offerings during the year; holiday and religious services that provided sign language interpreters; parish register of those recently baptized and married; extract from a sermon; donations to the hospital; article on transfiguration; article on suggestions for bathing and rules that contain do's and dont' when bathing; parish notes; numerous advertisments for business within Los Angeles on the last page. The newsletter has creasing throughout due to use and a deep, horizontal crease from folding it in half. Other visible damage include acid burns along the edge, a smudge stain on the front of the item, near the bottom section, slightly brittle pages and a tear along the edge of the back page. It is in fair condition.
