"No. 5 Directory," Home Telephone and Telegraph Company, Los Angeles, 1 July 1903. The item has a short notice to subscribers before listing them alphabetically, with the three or four-digit numbers and addresses provided. A duo of photos at the back shows the right and wrong ways to talk into a telephone (namely, speaking closely to the horn was the correct method.) There are also many local area advertisements. With stains, soiling, creases and rubbing to the wrappers and some creased, but generally clean pages, the overall condition is fair.Lexicon
