A stereoscopic photograph of the beach at Santa Monica, California, ca. 1880s. At the lower right is an ink inscription: "North Beach & Bathhouse / Santa Monica, Cal." while at the right is stamped: "Jesse H. Baker, Pasadena, Cal." The view shows the beach crowded with visitors and there are some buildings partially shown at the right and the Palisades in the distance. With soiling and numerical inscriptions in crayon and pencil on the back, but clean images, the condition is good.
