Description

NORTH END OF ORIGINAL WEST WALL OF EL CAMPO SANTO Color: Green; Red A color polaroid photograph of the north side of the original west wall of El Campo Santo during restoration, ca. June 1979. The image looks to the northeast with the section from the large pillar at the entrance, at right, to the end of the wall, at left. It is not determinable how much, if any, work had been done to the wall, though upturned dirt and what may be a newly planted tree are in the area between the wall and the newly laid sidewalk around the heart-shaped planter. At right is part of a tree hanging over the wall, while many trees in containers in the field north of the cemetery are in the background. A white truck is parked near the northwestern corner of the cemetery and a hose seems to lead from it to near where the photographer stood. With little indication of damage or wear, the image is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
