Description
NORTH GATE TO LA CASA NUEVA ENTRANCE FROM THE NORTHEAST
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of the north gate to the La Casa Nueva front entrance, ca. 1941. The photographer stood to the east side of the gate on the driveway. A large flowering bush in the planter to the left of the gate partially obsucres the light-colored wood gate. The columns flanking the gate are at the left and right and part of the sidewalk is seen at lower right. A concrete curb or low wall runs along the bottom and far right. Behind the gate is part of the upstairs northwest corner, where Thomas' bedroom is located, of the house, while bushes or trees obscure much of the front view. On the reverse center is the number "38" in pencil. Aside from a crease in the lower right corner and very light discoloration, the photograph is in good condition.
