Description

NORTH WALL OF THE WORKMAN HOUSE BASEMENT AFTER STABILIZATION Color: Brown A color polaroid photograph of the north wall of the Workman House basement after restablization, 12 July 1977. The wall was all adobe, but portions of the wall were shaved back and a trench dug to allow for the placement of concrete block, at center and right, for support. This addition is shown completed, while some of the original adobe wall is seen at center and left. At the bottom left is some of the floor of the basement, while at the top are rafters and beams for the support of the floor above and some of the plumbing pipes are also visible. Two lightbulbs in fixtures attached to the rafters are at upper left and left center. At the bottom is the ink inscription "North Wall - Basement - Stabilized / Workman House 7/12/77." In good condition, the artifact shows little indication of wear or damage. Number-Units: 1
