Note, "Animal Talk," ca. 1920s-1940s. The sheet has a joke handwritten in pencil with revisions made in pen. The joke concerns a veterinarian and an injured man who has just been in an automobile accident. The injured man uses crass wordplay to compare himself to a donkey and rationalize his request for medial treatment from the veterinarian. Another note with the same joke was included in this acquisition (Object ID: 2021.8.5.8), though that version did not have a title. With minor discoloration, a dog eared corner, minor rust stains, a minor tear, and edge wear, the object is in good to fair condition overall.
