A set of notes from Edith Barclay concerning Jonathan R. Scott and family, ca. 1920. The pencil-written document discusses a potential claim by Barclay and other Scott heirs to land in Los Angeles, where Scott was a prominent lawyer and justice of the peace in the 1850s and early 1860s, that was considered open to a claim. Some history of Scott and his family is also included and a transcription is in the accession folder. With folds, light soiling, and some browning, the overall condition is good.
