Notice no. 9905 from the Horticultural Commissioner of Los Angeles County, completed by A.W. Chidester for G.T. Russell in Los Angeles, California. 18 October 1915. The notice informs Mr. Russell that an inspection of his trees on lot 51 in tract 2421 was carried out by the Horticultural Commissioner of the County of Los Angeles, California on September 7th, 1915. The commissioner has concluded that Mr. Russell's citrus trees have become infested with black scale and that he therefore must eradicate the insects within 20 days. If Mr. Russell fails to do so, the commisioner will carry out the treatment at Mr. Russell's expense. With pencil markings and pin holes, the object is in good condition overall.
