"Official List of School Trustees and Teachers of Los Angeles County for the Year Beginning July 1, 1899." The item has an index of school district clerks, followed by the listing of trustees and clerks by school district in alphabetical order and listing whether they were elected or appointed, when their terms began and expired, and the community or city of residence. On page five is the Hudson School District in Puente. On page six is the La Puente School District in present South El Monte, including Charles P. Temple, whose term was from 1898 to 1901. On page nine is the Rowland School District in Puente, including Margarita Temple's husband, Samuel P. Rowland. Page twelve lists the nine county school districts. From page thirteen is a list of teachers in the same order as for the trustees and clerks, but listing their type of certificate, when it expired, their salary, and the community or city of residence. With plastic strips glued to the inside of the covers; light creases; a dented bottom right corner; light cover soiling; page yellowing; folds on the bottom corners of the last three pages; pencil and pen marks on the front cover and on page eight; small light stains to the cover; staple tarnish; and small tears to the top of the spine, the overall condition is fair.Lexicon
