"Official Program, 1928 National Air Races & Aeronautical Exposition, Los Angeles, Sept. 8-16." The thirty-page item has the title at the top and bottom, with the price at the top and an image of a well-dressed crowd watching an airplane flying by a checked tower--all in an Art Deco-style. Contents include a list of officers and committee members for the event, a list of the Advisory Committee members; photographs of officers and Executive Committee members; the program, including lists of special events and prize monies offered; a list of conventions held in Los Angeles during the program that are related to aviation; a list and photograph of trophies awarded during the program; a history of the air races; a map showing Mines Field in relation to Los Angeles; and other items. There are some photographs and many advertisements for aeronautic-related companies and Los Angeles businesses. With spine rubbing; acid burns from another object on pgs. 8-9; cover creases; surface soiling; page yellowing; some fading of cover colors, especially on the spine; small losses to the top right corner of the front; and small tears at the top of the front cover, the overall condition of the object is good.
