OIL WELLS NEAR WHITTIER, POSTMARK 1923. The postcard shows oil wells, a structure or factory as well as a field of trees. The location is printed on the bottom right corner of the postcard which states, "OIL WELLS NEAR WHITTIER, CALIF." The reverse side has writing in blue ink, a name and a address, postage stamp and has a postmarked date of August 21, 1923 in Santa Ana. The name of the postcard publishing company was Artochrom Lithographing Co., Los Angeles Calif. It is in good condition despite having abrasion damage, creases, surface soiling, discoloration, fading of the tint color, inscriptions, stains and overall wear.Lexicon
