"On the Road Up San Gabriel Canyon," by Wright M. Pierce, ca. 1920s. The view shows the dirt road crossing a small stream, perhaps the river, amidst a dense growth of trees and of a rocky bottomland. Pierce was a Claremont, California ornithologist who died in 1937. At the bottom right is his mark. With some pin holes at the top center and corners, light soiling and edge browning, the condition is good.
