Description
A stereoscopic photograph, "On Top Turnbull Canyon Rd., In The Mtns. Near Whittier," 1920. The personally produced image shows a panoramic view of the road looking east at the top of the Puente Hills, with a house along the road, but no other signs of development. The image, taken about a half-dozen years after the road opened, has the title in ink and typewritten at the bottom and an ink inscription, "Above Whittier in the hills—1920" on the reverse. With surface scraches, matte bumping and soiling, the condition is good overall.
