Description

Color: Black; White A negative of opening ceremonies at a rodeo, July 19, 1930. Across the center and behind a track is a fenced field where many performers are on horseback. They are in a line across the field and face forward. At the far left is one rider which carries an American flag while one man is on foot in front of him. At the right of the foreground is a platform decorated with tri-color banners. At the far left and right of this are the back of the heads of some spectators which sit on grandstands. Across the background is an open field with a tree at the left and right. At the center are more trees in the distance and some structures. A print from this negative, 96.7.27.3, found in Agnes Temple's photo album, identified the date of printing, indicating the event was held around that time. Aside from non-intrusive edge darkening, there are no notable signs of wear or damage and the object is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
