A portrait of opera singer Florence Macbeth, 1925. The image shows the singer in a head and shoulder view with an inscription at the bottom reading, "To Florence M. Cook / with kind remembrance / Florence Macbeth / 1925." Macbeth (1881-1966) was a well-known singer until her retirement, during which she became the fourth wife of famed writer James M. Cain. On the reverse are some pencil markings for reproduction of the image. With tape residue on the reverse and some light soiling and creasing on the front margins, the condition is good.
