Description
ORANGE COUNTY AMERICAN LEGION FLOAT AT THE PASADENA TOURNAMENT OF ROSES PARADE, 1920s
Color: Black; White
A float entered by the Orange County American Legion at the Tournament of Roses Parade, Pasadena, California, 1920s. The image shows the float on a street in front of a one-story commercial building. The float appears to be shaped like an orange and has the name of the organization on the front, just below a bald eagle extended out in front of the float. The rest of the float has dark colored elements toward the front and bottom and lighter aspects at the top and back. Behind the float is a commercial building with people crowded on the sidewalk. On the back is the brand name "VELOX" preprinted onto the paper, while the number "101" is stamped in blue ink. With some mounting adhesive residue on the back corners, small creases at the right corners, and slight yellowing, the overall condition is good.
