Color: Black; White
A reproduction photograph of orange pickers in a Los Angeles-area grove, copied from a stereoview in the Museum's collection, 1890s. There are four men on wooden ladders with canvas bags around their shoulders and hanging by their sides with fruit in them. On the ground are several boxes displayed with fruit and other empty crates lying scattered. A man stands in the background with a few pieces of fruit in his hands. The men all wear hats and portions or all of suits. Some, if not all, appear to be Latino. Two rows, with about three or four trees in each, are viable, and there may be other orange trees in the background. While the original image was slightly faded, this, as a newly produced copy, is in mint condition.
