Oriental platter, 1881. The white ceramic oval platter shows three Asian women surrounded by a garden and house. Colors used are pink, yellow, green, gold, and black and all are coated with an opalescent glaze. Flowers and a floral border surround the hand painted platter. There are small cracks overall in the paint. The impression of an "O" is on the back of the platter along with 10/81 which could be for the production date of October of 1881. Writing that could be a factory mark and what could be a pattern number of 6369 appear on the back of the platter in red.Lexicon
