Description
ORIGINAL AGNES TEMPLE WINDOW, LA CASA NUEVA MAIN HALL
Color: Green; Red; White; Yellow
A color reproduction photograph of the original Agnes Temple window in La Casa Nueva's Main Hall, ca. 1972. The close-up shows the image without any framing from the door visible. Agnes Temple is shown wearing a multi-colored lace shawl; white mantilla; and holds a fan in her left hand near her chest, while the other hand is on her hip. She stands on a stone floor with a low balustraded balcony behind her. Over her is a wood-supported arbor with a flowering plant growing on it that stems from an oval vase. The background is a castle amidst lush landscaping. Judging from the curvature of the leading and the appearance of the vase, among other indications, it is determined that this is the original window, which was stolen in the 1970s. The image was reproduced for the recreation of the window in the museum restoration project. Aside from surface soiling on the rear, the object is in good condition.
