ORIGINAL AGNES TEMPLE WINDOW, LA CASA NUEVA MAIN HALL
Color: Color
A color photograph of the original Agnes Temple window from La Casa Nueva's Main Hall, dated [probably the reproduction date], 20 November 1979. The close-up view shows the window, east of the main entrance door, with Temple in a Mexican shawl with multi-colored designs at the torso and cut-work at the seeves and lower portion. She holds a fan in her left hand and wears a white mantilla on her head. Depicted as standing on a terrace with a white rail with balusters and a potted floral vine that grows on portions of a wood arbor at the top, Agnes also has a castle and trees behind her in the background under a light blue sky. Small details, such as the plant pot and the cut-work on Agnes's shawl are among the indicators that this was the original window. On the reverse upper left, in black ink, is "RIGHT 11/20/79," while beneath this in ink that has turned yellow is "Girvigian." Adjacent to this in pencil is "Envelope #92401," and under this in red pencil is "Reverse." Next to the latter, on the right, is the stamp, covered by tape, of restoration architect Raymond Girvigian with his name, address, and telephone number. At the upper right, in black ink, is "Dealer / #1529." It is assumed this print was used for the replication of the window by the John Wallis Studios, because it has a great deal of surface soiling on the reverse and the edges are worn, so the artifact is in fair condition.
