Description

ORIGINAL WEST WALL OF EL CAMPO SANTO BEFORE RESTORATION Color: Brown; Green A color polaroid photograph of the original west wall of El Campo Santo before restoration, 1 March 1977. Taken from the southwest, the view shows nearly the entire length of the wall with some wear and damage evident. Part of one of the entrance pillars is visible toward the left and the metal balls at the top of the pillars throughout the wall are missing, except for one at the far northern end. In the foreground, trenching and other work to prepare the dirt area for landscaping is being done. Inside are some small trees growing near the wall. In the background left are trees in containers north of the cemetery. An ink inscription at the bottom of the object reads "Existing West Wall - Before / Any Repairs - March 1." Without much indication of wear or damage, the object is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
