On the spine is the title, volume and number, and the date. Contents include articles on California places, preservation of history and the Indians of the state; material on western America; original poems and stories; and illustrations. There are also many advertisements throughout. Contributors include Lummis, Mary Austin, and Professor Harold W. Fairbanks.
