Description

"Overland Monthly and Out West Magazine," July 1928 (Vol. 86, No. 7). The item, a sixtieth anniversary number, contains some material about the founding of the "Overland Monthly" by poet Bret Harte in 1868 and the editor of "Out West", formerly the "Land of Sunshine", Charles F. Lummis. There are articles about California and the west, poetry, and illustrations. There are also many advertisements, many related to tourism. With tears, creases, dog-eared corners, and soiling to the wrappers and a creased top right corner but clean pages, the condition is good overall.
