Description

Pins: A package of 180 Fleur-De-Lis pins, used for textileworking. Only half the package survives, the entire set supposed to consist of 360 pins. The package is white with two identical identification labels, which have a purple border and purple and gold text (see marks/inscriptions for text.) The pins are arranged in six rows of 30 pins each. It is not known if Fleur-De-Lis is a brand name or the name of the manufacturer, which is not otherwise given. The pins are good condition. The package is in fair condition with some creases and discoloration, edge wear, and folds from storage. Donated by George Wheatley. Label text: "FLEUR-DE-LIS/PINS/MANUFACTURED EXPRESSLY/FOR THE FINEST TRADE/S.C. 360 COUNT"
