Description

PACKAGE OF VICTOR FULL TONE STEEL PHONOGRAPH NEEDLES Color: Red A package of Victor full tone steel phonograph needles, ca. 1929. The paper package has a red-colored border with a vine-like design inside it. The company logo of a dog listening through a Victrola's horn is at the center with the product name above and the company name and address below. On the back flap is, in red block letters, "SAMPLES" with the commpany name and address below on the main part of the package, and on the bottom is "Use Each Point / Once Each." The top left corner is torn open to access the contents and an unknown number of needles remains inside the package. These "points" are thin pieces of steel with the sharpened point which touches the record surface. With a tear on the bottom edge; the torn corner; creased and dented corners; and discoloration, the package is in fair condition and it is assumed that the unused needles are in good condition.
