A black and white stereoscopic photograph, "Packing Oranges, Southern California, U.S.A.," published by American Stereoscopic Company, New York, ca. 1890s. The view shows two workers standing on tall ladders against trees with canvas bags around their shoulders with fruit in them. In the foreground a man in a suit and a woman in a dress, presumably the orchard owners, stand holding fruit near several crates with oranges in them. Other than the general location, there is no specificity as to place. With soiling, stains and abrasions, moderate fading, it is in fair condition.Lexicon
