Description

Color: Brown; Gold A case that housed the diploma certifying Thomas W. Temple II's graduation from elementary school from Page Military Academy, Los Angeles, 13 June 1918. The artifact has a soft brown leather finish with the school name, city, and "Diploma of Graduation" in script letters at the center of the front cover, which has a simple single-line gold border. This border continues on the back. A gold ribbon is tied at the left edge and there are remnants and indications of where similar ribbons were at the bottom and right edges, as well. The inside has a gold silk-like lining. With many scratches, surface soiling, a puncture at the upper right of the front top edge, rubbing, faded gold on the covers, and a loss at the left side of the back, the overall condition is fair.
