Description

Color: Black; White A color photograph of a painting of A. M. W. Temple, ca. 1850s. Placed with a matte and an oval window, the painting shows Mrs. Temple in a upper-torso view, with a dark-colored dress, white lace-looking collar and a brooch next to the collar at the neck. There is also a gold-color necklace that extends down the front of her dress, lower than the bottom of the painting. Her head is slightly tilted to the right and a drop earring is in her left ear. The background is also painted a dark color, probably brown, and there appears to be no artist's signature, although light from a flash gives a whitish appearance to the bottom and may obscure the signature, if there was one. With little indication of wear or damage, the object is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
