A color photograph of a painting of Jonathan Temple (1796-1866) (perhaps the one displayed at Rancho Los Cerritos), ca. 1850, showing Temple seated in a red velvet chair with left arm resting on the chair arm and wearing a black suit and tie with white shirt. The painting shown in a oval shaped gilt frame and photographed on a floor. The condition is poor with some discoloration and adhesion of the image to the frame glass due to rain exposure while stored in a trash can in a garage. Kodak stamp on the back with December 1969 date indicated.
