Description

Painting, San Gabriel Mission, 1972. A painting by Walter P. Temple, Jr. of the San Gabriel Mission. The painting shows a view of one side of the mission. The light brown stone walls of the structure, the belfry, a white picket fence, and some green vegetation can be seen under a lavender sky. Temple's signature is present at the bottom right of the painting. The painting, on white canvas, has been stapled and taped to a wooden frame. A sticker on the frame indicates that the image had a 2004 copyright for the book known as Gentle Artist of the San Gabriel Valley. With minor edge rubbing/paint loss and minor scratches, the object is in good condition overall.
