Pamphlet, Verdugo Woodlands subdivision, issued by F. P. Newport, 1920s. The sales brochure details the development along the eastern slope of the Verdugo Mountains in Glendale and features a map of the area; panels of text boosting the desirability of the neighborhood; data on population, property values, building permit values, school enrollment, library book checkout data, and membership of churches. When unfolded there is a large panoramic photograph of the largely undeveloped area, evidently taken from the La Crescenta area looking south towards Glendale and Los Angeles, with contact information for the developer. With small tears along folds and at the edges, many creases, original folds, a half-fold added later, small stains, and some soiling, the condition is fair.Lexicon
