Description

PAPERWEIGHT COMMEMORATING THE ROWLAND-WORKMAN PARTY'S 150 YEAR ANNIVERSARY Paperweight - glass, circular, flattened disk shape with three indentions on underside edge, bottom consists of tan paper layer with letters in dark brown ink reads "Rowland-Workman Party/IR[Workman Brand Symbol]/150 Years/1841-1991", mounted on cardboard, with royal blue jersey fabric glued to cardboard, bottom is glued (probably hot glue) to glass upper section. HISTORY ON PAPERWEIGHT: The logo was originally designed by Josette Temple's friend Paula Mihalow, for use on an anniversary tote bag. The friend gave Josette the drawn-up logo in the form of a glass paperweight. The paperweight was then produced in quantity and sold at a fund-raising boutique at the Rowland House in 1991.
