Park House, Los Angeles, March 1890. The amateur photograph, taken on a Kodak #2 camera and dated from a photo album inscription, shows four persons standing under the shade of a tree near the driveway entrance to the residence hotel. A sign, reading "PARK HOUSE BOARD & LODGING, $5 PER WEEK" is in the front yard at the right. Portions of homes across the street are notable, as are some trees in the yard, but the exact location is unknown. The faded words "Los Angeles" are inscribed at the bottom. With a pink hue, rippling of the paper, and some soiling, the overall condition is fair.Lexicon
