Description
A real photo postcard of participants marching in the Elks Parade, Los Angeles, 1915. The photo was taken from an elevated position several floors from the street and takes in the marchers, who appear to be carrying umbrellas and wearing wide-brimmed hats, as well as spectators lining the street, though not the sidewalks. There are also flags, bunting and other decorations. The reverse of the unused card has a short ink inscription: "The Elks parade on Thursday." With some soiling and edge abrasion, darkening of the image, as well as a stain on the reverse, the condition is good.
