Description

"Pathfinders," by Robert Glass Cleland (Los Angeles: Powell Publishing Company,) 1929. The book, one of nine volumes in the "California" series, discusses explorers, adventurers and settlers in the state from early Spanish and English sea-going vessels to American settlers in the Mexican era and the Donner Party. There is also an appendix comprising Benjamin D. Wilson's Bancroft narrative of his years in Mexican California and before. With soiling, bumping, edge rubbing, and other minor wear to the boards, but clean, tight pages, the condition is overall good.
