PAYMENT FORM FOR THE "HOMES OF CHARACTER" CATALOG
Color: Black; White
A payment form insert from "Homes of Character," a catalog issued by the Lewis Manufacturing Company, 1924. The document has a line for the date at the top right with the company name and place of business below at left. Under this is a statement that 25 cents is enclosed and spaces for a date the prospective buyer intends to build, a desired price for a home, an indication whether financial arrangements were or were not made and lines for name, street address, city and state. At the left is an unusual space with a round circle for the placement of the quarter payment with three fold lines, forming a triangular area, around it. To the right is a statement that indicates "WHEN PROPERLY FOLDED, THIS CONTAINER / WILL CARRY COIN SAFELY. USE STAMPS / IF YOU PREFER." Just above the date line at the upper right is the typed letter "G." Other than some discoloration, there appears to be no wear or damage and the object is in good condition.
