Description

Letter: A one-page typed incomplete letter, without envelope, from Perry Worden to Edith Bancroft, 23 June 1926. The letter, a copy sent or delivered to Walter P. Temple, Sr., discussed Worden's recent trip to New England to assist in finding schools for the Temple children, his research in New York and New Mexico, the Temple's plans for their New England trip to commence in a few days, and the hope that Miss Bancroft would accompany the Temples to the schools envisioned for Agnes. It is of note that the research items dealt with John Temple's management of the Mexican national mint and the supposed ruins of William Workman and John Rowland's grist mill seen by Worden in New Mexico. The letter is in fair condition with some dogeared corners, creases, a fold, and much discoloration. From the Thomas Temple Collection, donated by Ruth Ann Michaelis. In blue pencil at top left is "Copy."
