PERRY WORDEN TO THOMAS TEMPLE, 5 NOVEMBER 1927.
Letter: A three-page letter from Perry Worden to Thomas Temple, 5 November 1927. The letter is a copy of one written from Worden to the editor of the Temple Times newspaper sent to Thomas. The letter, with Worden's handwritten corrections, was concerned with a proposed name change from the Town of Temple to Santa Rita, because of alleged confusion in postal service with similar sounding communities such as Tempe, Arizona and Templeton, California. Worden's lengthy argument against the change is given. The name was eventually changed to Temple City. From the Thomas Temple Collection, donated by Ruth Ann Michaelis. In good condition with folds, some creases and discoloration, None
