Description

PERRY WORDEN TO THOMAS W. TEMPLE, 15 FEBRUARY 1929. Letter: A one-page typed letter with handwritten closure and no envelope from Perry Worden to Thomas W. Temple II, 15 February 1929. Worden, following on other letters of the previous day or two, wrote about the status of the Temple book. He noted that George Woodruff, Walter Temple's attorney, told him in spring 1928 that he was no longer to do any work for the Temples aside from the book and to report to the Temple Estate Company. Woodruff also related to Worden that Temple refused to sign a check for $500 to Worden--Worden wondered why Woodruff could not get Temple to sign a check. Worden concluded that the book would be completed if all worked together or the Temple book would fail in broken friendship. The letter is in fair condition with folds, a few pest holes, and discoloration. From the Thomas Temple Collection, donated by Ruth Ann Michaelis. The closure "Faithfully/Perry W." is handwritten in ink.
