Description

PERRY WORDEN TO THOMAS W. TEMPLE II, 12 MAY 1929 Letter: A five-page typed letter (a) with envelope (b) from Perry Worden to Thomas W. Temple I, 12 May 1929. The letter is concerned mainly with the death of Worden's sister, through which Worden lists complaints about his treatment from the Temple Estate Company and George Woodruff regarding non-support for the completion of the Temple book. Of particular interest, however, is Worden's version of what happened with a chapter from Jackson Graves' memoirs regarding the failure of the Temple and Workman bank and the influence of Los Angeles Jews in its downfall. Worden concluded the letter by intimating that Thomas would be welcome to assist on certain portions of the Temple book. From the Thomas Temple Collection, donated by Ruth Ann Michaelis. The letter is in fair condition with folds, creases, and discoloration. The envelope is in poor condition with the opening tear, creases, stains, and discoloration. None
