Description

PERRY WORDEN TO THOMAS W. TEMPLE II, 22 MARCH 1927 Letter and envelope: A two-page typed letter (a) with envelope (b) from Perry Worden to Thomas W. Temple II, 22 March 1927. Most of the first page of the letter deals with frustrations in work on the Temple book. One paragraph, however, mentions plans to finish La Casa Nueva, particularly in developing the library, which Worden had a hand in. The second page encourages Thomas to his studies at Harvard and surviving the "plucking" or removal of first-year students, whose standards were not judged worthy of continuing in the law school. Mention was also made of visits to a Mrs. Duarte and her daughter Mrs. Maron, as well as Milton Kauffman's mother for research. From the Thomas Temple Collection, donated by Ruth Ann Michaelis. The letter is in good condition with folds, creases and minor discoloration. The envelope is in fair condition with the upper right corner dogeared and creases and discoloration. None
