Description
PERRY WORDEN TO WALTER P. TEMPLE, POSTMARKED 29 JANUARY 1926
A letter (a) with envelope (b) from Perry Worden to Walter P. Temple, 29 January 1926. Both are on plain white stationery. The letter mainly concerns the door-plate William Workman had on a door of his home and which was given by Anita Davoust Temple to Worden to present to Walter Temple. The circumstances of Worden's visit to them is detailed. Mention is also made of a response from a boys Catholic school in England, presumably for inquiry regarding Walter, Jr. and Edgar. A postcript notes that Worden would likely be able to journey to England with the family in the summer. The envelope has a printed return address area and is pre-stamped for postage; it is in fair condition with acid burn on a large section of the front; the opening tear at the top; creases; and ink stains on the reverse. In good condition, the letter was folded into sixths; has a variety of small acid stains; and light discoloration.
