Description

PERRY WORDEN TO WALTER P. TEMPLE, SR., 14 FEBRUARY 1929 Letter: A three-page typed letter with additions in pen and pencil and no envelope from Perry Worden to Walter P. Temple, Sr., 14 February 1929. This item was a copy mailed to Thomas W. Temple II. The letter concerned the lack of support by Walter Temple and the Temple Estate Company for the completion of the family history book and the importance of having the work completed by the 1931 sesquicentennial of the founding of Los Angeles. Worden concluded with a statement that he would resort to presenting a paper before the Historical Society of Southern California defending his course in the production of the book if he had to, but wished to prevent such an action. The letter is in fair condition with folds, creases, and discoloration. From the Thomas Temple Collection, donated by Ruth Ann Michaelis. There are some corrections in ink and the addition of a sentence at the end. There is also a postscript in pencil.
