Description

PERRY WORDEN TO WALTER P. TEMPLE, SR., POSTMARKED 10 SEPTEMBER 1925 Letter: A one-page typed copy of a letter (a) and envelope (b) sent by Perry Worden to Walter P. Temple, Sr., postmarked 10 September 1925. The letter written by Worden to Arthur S. Bent concerned a correction from Worden's previous letter (see 96.35.106a-b) about a memorial in the Los Angeles Public Library for founding trustees. Worden proposed that Thomas W. Temple, Walter Temple's brother, be listed as Thomas Workman Temple, instead of as above or as T.W. Temple. Worden also expressed the opinion that a marker to the 1859 attempt to found a library, led by Jonathan Temple and others, would be appropriate. From the Thomas Temple Collection, donated by Ruth Ann Michaelis. The letter is in good condition with folds and some creases and discoloration. The envelope is in poor condition with the opening tear, creases, stains on the back, and discoloration. None
