PERRY WORDEN TO WALTER P. TEMPLE, SR., POSTMARKED 20 NOVEMBER 1925
Letter: A one-page typed letter, with handwritten comments (a), and envelope (b) from Perry Worden to Walter P. Temple, Sr., postmarked 20 November 1925. The letter concerned a visit with Will D. Gould, a lawyer who occupied the Temple Block from 1873 to 1925, about the impending demolition of the building and the possibility of obtaining some items, such as doors or windows, to give to Temple. Worden also encouraged Temple to hire a photographer to document the building before it was demolished. The handwritten comments concerned Gould's opinion that Temple Street's name would not be changed and his willingness to give Worden his memoirs of early Los Angeles. From the Thomas Temple Collection, donated by Ruth Ann Michaelis. The letter is in good condition with folds, creases, and some discoloration. The envelope is in poor condition with the opening tear, creases, and discoloration. NoneLexicon
