Description

PERRY WORDEN TO WALTER P. TEMPLE, SR., POSTMARKED 6 NOVEMBER 1921 Letter: A two-page typed letter (a) from Perry Worden to George H. Woodruff, no date with two short typed notes (b,c) from Worden to Walter P. Temple, Sr., with envelope (d), postmarked 6 November 1921. The letter concerned obtaining illustrations for the Temple history (for which Worden had just been hired) from the Luther Ingersoll Collection at the Los Angeles Public Library. Ingersoll had been contracted to assist with the book, when it was worked on by Johnstone Jones and Worden feared in this letter that Ingersoll would try to interfere in the book by being difficult with illustrations. The first note gave Temple reference to the Woodruff letter and the second indicated work on the book. From the Thomas Temple Collection, donated by Ruth Ann Michaelis. The letter and notes are in fair condition with folds and discoloration and the envelope in poor condition with tears, creases, and discoloration. None
