Description
Personal letter regarding El Monte, marriage, Los Angeles, 8 January 1883. Sent to Savannah to an older sister, the woman writing the letter discusses a failed courtship, a new year party in El Monte, the dullness of the city and poeple, sending dresses and hats back home and school. It mentions several names. The letter is written in red ink on all four sides of a folded sheet. Some ink has smudged due to minor staining but is overall in good condition.
