Description

A press photo of persons seizing as portion of the Los Angeles Aqueduct near Lone Pine, California, 24 July 1927. The image shows several dozen men, women and children on an elevated position above an Alabama Hills spillway, through which water is running. A pasted-on label on the reverse refers to the persons as "anarchists" in a siege holding the spillway gate. Other information about the incident is presented. There are other marks, including the press stamp and date. With a small loss at the bottom right corner, a few creases, light soiling, and edge rubbing, the condition is good.
